Yes I am still alive

Hi guys

yes I am still alive and haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but "life" has taken over somewhat.

This time last year we acquired our 2nd Spinone pup called Poppy, and then in August last year we got beautiful little Izzy who is now 6 months old.  I have been training all three dogs, and in particular training them to run in agility.

Sewing, other than for the dogs, has taken a bit of a back seat, but bringing three wet dogs into the house forced me to sew them some waterproof coats.  The fabric was actually a couple of car boot/trunk liners, and then I lined the inside with some fabric I found in my father's loft when we moved.  The black clips were also on the boot liner so I just re-used them.  My trusty embroidery machine put a name on each, and here is the end result.  The tape is red not pink - the wonders of flash photography has really given a completely new colour but the end result is great and I am really happy with them.

One other big change for me was that my job moved to The Hague and while I was asked to move, I didn't want to leave our lovely new home, so that meant I was made redundant on the 31st Dec.  Since 4th January I have been self-employed and working my socks off - I have a 3 month contract plus another client wanting me to do some work, so fingers crossed, its a change for the better.

I hope I get round to giving you some better sewing news, but in the meantime Happy Sewing one and all.

  2. Good to hear from you! It sounds as though your life has been challenging and full, which is a good thing for those of us who get bored. :-) That is too bad about the job. Arre you terribly disappointed? On a lighter note, the dogs are adorable in their personalized coats.
