Following on from yesterday's post, I wanted to share with you all a photograph of my DD Lauren with my first Great Dane Mitch. He would have been about 14months old and I think Lauren was about 4 or 5 (she isn't much bigger now and she is 25 ha ha) but you can now see why she has been yearning for another Great Dane.
Sadly I lost Mitch, shortly after this photograph was taken, he ran out into the road and got hit by a car and died on the operating table - a very sad day indeed.
I did get another Great Dane a few years later (I would need to scan the photo of him in) and he was a blue harlequin called Harry.
Bentley and Lauren came for lunch today, as did my DGD Alana, DS and Alana's Mum. It was really amusing watching the two little ones together and brought back memories of 20-25 years ago.
The family and my D Mike have all gone now, leaving me to recuperate from my surgery alone, so if I get the energy my next job is to cut out my Chanel jacket pattern, ready to tissue fit, and cut out a muslin.
Catch you later...........................
